and done, everything rests in God’s grace. An early Methodist woman bore testimony to this fact on her deathbed. She said that she had heard many people talk about being faithful to the grace of God as if they trusted in their own faithfulness. She would hear none of this. She maintained that it was God’s faithfulness to his own word of promise that was her only security for salvation. She believed in grace. The prophet Isaiah cries out and shouts this glorious message. God’s grace, he declares,
